The confectionery company Nestlé Russia has launched a new production line in Perm

On November 11 the confectionery company Nestlé Russia has launched a new line of chocolate production in Perm. The company’s management and representatives of the region and city government took part in the official launching ceremony.

The new production line launch followed an extensive modernization of the plant and technological improvements. In 2015 one of largest and most important investment projects was implemented at the plant. The investments totaling 1.4 billion rubles were made into the production lines’ setup and modernization as well as into staff training schemes. Due to this project, the average annual volume of production is estimated to be 30 thousand tons.

Viktor Ageev, Deputy Head of the City Administration, was quoted as saying:

– Nestlé can serve as a model company that complies with the world production standards, production culture and environmental regulations. Before taking an investment decision the company evaluates the region and its staff to make sure it invests money into a project that would best accomplish its goals. Nestlé has chosen Perm to expand the company’s production facilities. We hope our city will meet the company’s and other investors’ expectations, and their future investment decisions will be taken in favour of our city

Nestlé has been making investments into the Perm confectionery plant development since 2007, with the amount of the investments totaling 3.4 billion rubles. Nestlé also implements a great number of programmes within The Common Values Creation, a large-scale social responsibility program.
